NFL : 2* PHILADELPHIA

The Eli Manning era began rather auspiciously last week against Atlanta and things don’t look to improve this week. The former Rebs QB has appeared in 3 games completing only 43.5% of his passes for 228 yards and 1 TD with a pair of INT.

This week he faces the #2 defense in the league as the Eagles are giving up less than 16 PPG. They’re also #2 in the league in sacks with 29. That number will rise substantially against an OL that has given up 41 sacks this season. NY has lost and failed to cover 3 straight while scoring only 15 PPG. They’re also 2-10 ATS at home off a SU/ATS loss.

Philly is 9-1 SU (7-3 ATS) and they’ve won 6 of the last 7 SU in the series. The Eagles are 3-0 SU/ATS against the NFC East winning by an average score of 36-15. They’ve covered 18 of their last 22 regular season games and 15 of 19 on the road vs. the division.

Donovan McNabb hasn’t put up the PlayStation2 numbers that Peyton Manning has but he’s close completing nearly 64% of his passes for 2648 yards with 22 TD and only 5 INT. He’s thrown 8 TD the last 2 weeks. Terrell Owens leads the way with 908 yards and 13 TD.
